We partnered with Suffolk New College to facilitate a ‘Get into Construction’ week, which brought in several young people aged 16+ to learn some practical skills, explore the construction industry, discover career paths, and gain real hands-on experience. They covered health and safety theory, correct use of PPE, carpentry, bricklaying, site hazards and risks, and more.
These students were committed to the course, attended on time and produced some outstanding work. They also had the opportunity to sit a mock CSCS test and had the chance to meet a representative of Rose Builders, who gave them some insight into site life and how to prepare to enter the construction workforce.
Shoutout to our dedicated tutors, Dom and Vaz, along with Claire Flowers from Suffolk New College, who brought this collaboration to life!
